12.9-INCH APPLE 'IPAD PRO' REPORTEDLY LAUNCHING EARLY NEXT YEAR

There have been numerous rumors about Apple working on a larger 12.9-inch iPad, dubbed “iPad Pro,” along with the next-generation iPad Air and iPad mini. The larger screened iPad however won’t be launched anytime this year, as Apple plans to begin manufacturing only next year, Bloomberg reports.
As mentioned above, the iPad Pro will feature a large 12.9-inch display which is considerably bigger than the current iPads, which support 9.7-inch and 7.9-inch displays. The bigger iPad is expected to boast a display with high pixel density nearing ultra high-definition and could also borrow design elements from the current iPad Air. The company will also be introducing a split-screen feature on iOS 8, specially made for iPad users. The iPad Pro may also be Apple’s way into the enterprise segment, something the company has been aiming ever since its partnership with IBM.

Developing larger screen devices seems to be the underlying theme for Apple this season, as it is also expected to launch iPhones with bigger displays. Apple will host an event on September 9, where it is expected to take the wraps off the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch variants of the iPhone 6.
These forthcoming smartphones will boast a new design with curved edges, thinner bodies, redesigned volume rocker and a relocated power button. Apple is also rumored to be working on a limited edition iPhone 6 which will boast a sapphire display and will be more expensive than the standard variants. There have also been reports that due to a last minute design change in the display, the iPhone 6 launch could be delayed or be available in extremely limited stocks initially.
